Every price, in the open

We checked 33 UK SEO agency websites while researching this site. Only seven of them, just over one in five, publish any prices at all. We think that’s backwards — you shouldn’t need a sales call to find out what something costs. All prices below are exact and exclude VAT.

What do the SEO retainers cost?

Local SEO is £750 a month, with a three month minimum because nothing meaningful moves faster than that — after three months it’s month to month. The growth retainer is £1,500 a month, for a business that wants a bigger push across more services, more content and more link building. AI search visibility is included in both, at no additional cost, always.

What does one-off work cost?

An SEO audit costs £750. The full amount is credited against your first month if you go on to take a retainer with us. The AI Visibility Sprint is a defined, one-off piece of work for a business that wants a focused push on AI answer visibility without an ongoing contract, and it costs £1,200.

What do websites cost?

Launch starts from £1,800. Growth starts from £3,500. Ecommerce starts from £6,500. Every website quote is fixed before work begins, based on a short conversation about what you actually need. Ongoing care and maintenance afterwards is £95 a month.

What’s deliberately not on this list?

AI search is not a separate product on this list. It never appears as its own line on an invoice from us, on any retainer, at any point. If that ever changes, we’ll tell you why in plain English before it happens, not after.

Why does this matter more than the numbers themselves?

A builder in the research behind this site put it better than we could: marketing costs money the same way building an extension costs money, and he had no problem with the figure — his problem was not knowing what the agency was actually doing for it. Publishing prices doesn’t remove that concern by itself. Pairing published prices with a monthly list of the actual work is what removes it. That’s why this page exists next to the method page, not instead of it.

What does a fair price actually look like in this market?

Owners we’ve read describe being quoted anywhere from a few hundred pounds a month up to several thousand for SEO, and it’s genuinely hard to know from a number alone whether it’s fair. Our prices sit toward the lower end of what serious, hands-on UK agency work costs, without being so low that it signals a subscription with a few automated tweaks attached. If a price elsewhere looks unusually low, ask exactly what’s included for it — that answer tells you more than the number does.

How does the three month minimum actually work?

It applies to Local SEO only, and it exists because the foundational work our method starts with genuinely takes that long to complete properly, and results before that point would either be a coincidence or a shortcut. After three months there’s no further minimum term; you continue month to month and can stop with notice. We’d rather explain why a minimum exists than hide it, because the UK research behind this site found owners didn’t object to a fixed term itself — they objected to a fixed term with no contact and no explanation attached.

What happens if I want to cancel?

After the three month minimum on Local SEO, or at any point on the growth retainer, tell us and we’ll agree a clean handover date — you keep everything that’s been built (content, citations, the website itself), and we won’t make it deliberately awkward to leave. If you’re leaving because something isn’t working, we’d rather hear that directly than have you simply not renew.

Local SEO vs the growth retainer — how do I choose?

If your business serves customers in a specific area and your main goal is being found for local searches and your Google Business Profile, Local SEO is usually the right starting point. If you’re actively trying to grow beyond your immediate area, need more content and link building, or run an online shop, the growth retainer covers materially more ground. Many clients start on Local SEO and move up once the foundational work is done and the case for expanding is clear.

Are these prices exact?

Yes, exactly as shown, excluding VAT. What you see is what a call with us will confirm, not a starting point for negotiation upward.

Why do you publish prices when most agencies don’t?

Because not knowing what something costs, or what you’re getting for it, is the single most common complaint we hear from business owners about their previous agency. Publishing prices removes one layer of that uncertainty before you even call.

Is there a contract?

Local SEO has a three month minimum. Everything else is either a one-off, fixed-price piece of work, or a rolling monthly arrangement you can end with notice.

Do you charge extra for it?

No, and we never will as a hidden monthly charge. It’s part of both retainers.

What if my business needs something that isn’t on this page?

Tell us what you need on a call and we’ll quote it honestly, using the same prices above as the building blocks.

Why isn’t the Growth retainer cheaper?

It covers materially more work — more content, more link building, ecommerce SEO where relevant — than Local SEO. We’d rather price it honestly than shave the number and quietly do less.

Is VAT included in these prices?

No, all prices shown are exclusive of VAT, stated clearly rather than added as a surprise at invoice time.

Can I pay for SEO work as a one-off rather than a retainer?

The SEO audit and the AI Visibility Sprint are both genuine one-off options. Ongoing rankings work needs an ongoing retainer, because Google and AI tools reward consistent effort, not a single burst of activity.
